Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Mnexa
How does Mnexa work?
Mnexa is a Telegram bot that helps you build a clear professional narrative from your daily work. Simply message the bot with what you're working on, and it captures your entry. At the end of each week, Mnexa generates a reflection highlighting themes, patterns, and how your work connects over time. You can also opt in to networking to connect with professionals who share similar interests.
How does logging daily work help my career?
Over time, small daily entries reveal patterns, impact, and growth that are easy to forget but essential for storytelling, networking, and professional clarity. When you need to update your LinkedIn, prepare for a performance review, or explain what you do, you'll have a clear record of real work to draw from.
Is my data private?
Yes, your privacy is a priority. Your entries are stored securely and are only visible to you. If you opt in to networking, matches are suggested based on shared interests, but your identity remains anonymous until you explicitly choose to reveal it. Both parties must consent before identities are shared. You can export or delete all your data at any time.
How does networking work?
When you opt in to networking, Mnexa analyzes your work entries to identify your professional interests. When it finds another user with relevant overlapping interests, it proposes a match to both of you. If both accept, you can message each other anonymously through Mnexa. At any point, either user can request to reveal their Telegram username, but this only happens if both agree.
Can I export my data?
Absolutely. Use the
/export command or say "Export my data" to download all your entries in CSV or JSON format. Your complete history is included, with both your original messages and the AI-processed versions. How do I delete my account?
Say "Delete my account" to the bot. You'll be asked to confirm by typing "yes, delete my account". Once confirmed, all your data (entries, reflections, matches, and conversations) is permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone.
What timezone does Mnexa use?
Mnexa respects your personal timezone for determining week boundaries and sending reflections. During onboarding, you set your timezone. You can change it anytime by saying something like "Change my timezone to Pacific" or "Set timezone to Europe/London". Mnexa supports all major IANA timezones.
Is Mnexa free?
Mnexa is currently free to use during our demo period. We're focused on building the best experience before introducing any pricing. When we do introduce pricing, early users will be notified and may receive special offers.
How do weekly reflections work?
At the end of your configured week (based on your chosen start day), Mnexa automatically generates a reflection. It analyzes all your entries from that week and produces a summary that includes: work themes, notable patterns, and connections to your ongoing projects. The reflection is non-judgmental and surfaces what you've done while treating quiet periods as normal.
What are project check-ins?
When Mnexa notices you haven't mentioned a project in a while (default: 14 days), it may gently check in. These are questions, not demands. You can update what's happening, pause check-ins for that project, or archive it entirely. You can also disable check-ins completely or adjust their frequency in settings.
What happens to my messages?
When you send a message, Mnexa's AI processes it to: understand your intent (is it a log entry, a question, a command?), enrich it for clarity and context, categorize it (work vs. personal), and identify any projects or themes. The original message and the enriched version are both stored. This processing is done using OpenAI's models.
Can I correct my reflections?
Yes! If the weekly reflection misunderstood something, you can add a correction. Just respond to the reflection with additional context, and this will be associated with that week's summary.
How is matching done?
Mnexa uses semantic similarity to find matches. It compares the meaning of your work entries with other users' entries (not just keywords). A match is proposed when the relevance score exceeds a threshold. The matching is based on what you're actually working on, not polished profile information.
How does Mnexa help me build professional connections?
Mnexa connects you with professionals who share your interests and challenges based on your real work, not curated profiles. When you opt in to networking, Mnexa finds people working on similar things and proposes connections. Conversations start anonymous so you can focus on substance first. You decide when (and if) to reveal your identity. It's networking without self-promotion.
